In The Bible: The Longest Day In The History Of Mankind

The Moon is mentioned in the Bible 41 times, 32 times in the Old Testament and nine times in the New Testament.

The Moon is mentioned in the Noble Quran 25 times

Joshua 10:13 says that the sun stood still, and the moon stopped for 24 hours.

Verse21:33 in the Noble Quran Allah made the sun and the moon subservient. They float each in an orbit moving with speed; each one of them rotate around its orbit.

Joshua 10:13 in four different versions of the Bible:

New International Version

So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the nation avenged itself on its enemies, as it is written in the Book of Jashar. The sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day.

New American Standard Bible

So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, Until the nation avenged themselves of their enemies. Is it not written in the book of Jashar? And the sun stopped in the middle of the sky and did not hasten to go down for about a whole day.

English Standard Version

And the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, until the nation took vengeance on their enemies. Is this not written in the Book of Jashar? The sun stopped in the midst of heaven and did not hurry to set for about a whole day.

King James Version

And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.

The verse says that the sun over Gibeon and the moon over the valley of Ajalon stopped on their course for one whole day.

It follows that we have got the longest day in the History of Mankind that was not a 24 hours day but a 48 hours day.

This point is left for the modern scientists of astronomy to verify it.

In addition, the verse mentions a Biblical book that is called the Book of Jashar; however, such book is missed and not present among the books of the Bible.

It should be emphasized also that Joshua which killed some 100 thousands men, elders, women, boys, girls and animals is not mentioned in the Noble Quran.

Verse 21:33 of the Noble Quran in four different translations:

QARIB: it is he who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon; each floating in an orbit.

SHAKIR: and he it is who created the night and the day and the sun and the moon; all (orbs) travel along swiftly in their celestial spheres

PICKTHAL: and he it is who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. they float, each in an orbit.

YUSUFALI: it is he who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon: all (the celestial bodies) swim along, each in its rounded course.

The verse says that:

Allah created the night and the day,

Allah created the sun and the moon,

Allah made the sun and the moon subservient. They float each in an orbit moving with speed; each one of them rotate around its orbit.

Back to my question for the smart reader:

Is the Quran quoted from the Bible?
