Are we on the right track of learning Japanese

In Japan, Nihon go is national standard language that speaks, taught throughout Japan. However, Hogen (dialect) also are used in many regions of the country. As well known, Okinawa has its own dialect. In last centaury, though TV programs, common educational curriculum, Nihon go used as standard national language spread in Japan widely. Now, it is known as Japanese.

The writing system of Japanese language is quite complex, which combines more than 2,000 characters borrowed from Chinese, come along with few sets of phonetic letters. In general, Japanese people’s literate are well-educated. Minimum of nine years of school education are keep on learning process of reading and written the characters.  

You will be surprise that most foreign students and working staffs can communicate in simple Japanese. In fact, Japanese is not that hard to lean and speak. The difference between Japanese and most other European language is that you no need to worry about plural and singular forms, and gender or person agreement. The subject of most sentences is clearly understood from backgrounds or context. Thus, it’s necessary for you to maser a few key phrase that help to go a long way toward communicating with acquaintances. For a better and smoother interaction with locals, I suggest that you should learn the proper greetings for varies times during a day, for examples, before and after meals, offering and receiving something, when you leaving and coming back and etc.

They most probably will reply “Ohayo” (Good morning) back, and some even add, “Nibon go jozu desu ne”, which means “you Japanese is very good”. With more effort and discipline, you can easily carry on common conversation in a matter of time, maybe within a month.
